Mid project meet and greet

On 23rd October 2013 project participants and stakeholders - including Councillor Tony Briffa- gathered at Williamstown Library for a project update, and provide input on the future direction of WESTANDPROUD.

Website Launch

The WESTANDPROUD website was formally launched on Wednesday, 15th January 2014 at the Louis Joel Arts and Community Centre.  The launch was attended by more than 80 people, including most of the interviewees, and included a screening of two films as well as a panel with interviewees and the project team discussing their experiences in creating WESTANDPROUD.

Films Launch

The WESTANDPROUDFILMS were launched at Yarraville's Sun Theatre on Monday, 19th May 2014 (19th May is also International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia).  Hobsons Bay's Mayor, Cr Sandra Wilson officially launched the films to a crowd of over 100 people.  The evening also featured a time-lapse recording of the Altona "Rainbow Crossing", created as part of the year's GoWEST events.
